MSP International Airport
Roadway Construction
A number of new roadways on and near the airport needed to be built or realigned including:
- 34th Avenue from 494 to the new Humphrey Terminal
- A new Cargo Road to serve the 17/35 cargo facilities (FedEx and UPS)
- Changes to Service Road W, which is inside security
- Realignment of Service Road D along Runway 4/22
- A new Highway 77(Cedar)/66th Street Interchange; the west half will be done in 2005
- Realignment of Airport Lane and replacement of 77th Street
- Realignment and expansion of 24th Avenue
- Construction of a bridge at 24th Avenue adjacent to 494 to allow realignment of Airport Lane
- Development of Humphrey Drive
- Expansion of Glumack Drive
- Reconstruction and expansion of Longfellow Avenue paralleling Highway 77(Cedar) from 66th Street to 77th Street
- New service roads inside airport security along both sides of the new runway
